Very soon after the band started it was clear that we needed some sort of transportation for everyone. So when the opportunity arose to buy a coach we leapt at it. But this also meant a great deal of fund raising by the band and association members to raise the necessary cash. In January 1998 we reached our target and the coach was ours. Although the body is that of the 51 seater, inside there are only 32 seats. We are told that it is the only one that remains of the four built by Plaxton, on a bedford chassis, for the Royal Family to use during the Queens Silver Jubilee. Inside there is plenty of leg room, tables and a lounge area. We are very proud of our coach as it has taken us the length and breadth of the country and is continuing to do so. It is planned to go to Disneyland Paris this year in her. Not bad for a 24 year old coach. As a special note.
